Ok, today I replaced the rotor, distributor cap and plugs. Still no go. Just cranks and cranks. After which i get a strong gas smell. I appreciate you guys hanging in to help me out.

you shure you got fuel psi and spark.did you try holding gas pedle to the floor and cranking for a long time+use jumper wires to you batery to get a faster crank.or send a clip dont give up yet.i will still try to help.all of us have a lot of combine experince on this site we can fix it.whell never mind if you smell gas you must have some fuel psi.

Yes I have tried holding peddle to floor and no deal. It seems so odd to me that the thing ran great the day before, no sign of any problem and then no-start the next day. I'm about ready to get the 12ga. and either put the car or myself out of misery.

o hay there sorry i have ben busy you shure you got spark hold a wire close to the engine and look for it(i use a screw driver and put in the wire and hold it close to the ground). take the fuel filter loose and look for spraying fuel to see if you have fuel psi.sent a pick or vidio.i will be back on 2 days from now taking a trip

I think I have it. My timming belt must have jumped a notch or two.
How hard is a timming belt replacment on this thing? Bugger I bet.

The hardest part can be the crank nut removal. If you can get that off, the rest is pretty easy.

I got a crank holder from Sir Tools, 2 minutes and the nut was off.

Other things you should do:
water pump
belts
valve cover gasket

if ambitious:
valve adjustment
t-stat
plugs

of course you'll need some ccolant
