I went to get my wheels aligned yesterday, but the technician told me that he couldn't align the front passenger side wheel because the spindle was bent. He showed me how the wheel's camber was off. I rotated my tires today and the spindle looked fine, but the upper control arm was bent, so I think that's what is making the camber negative. Anyways how hard is it to change an upper control arm? Will I have to take off the entire shock?

 

Umm... Civic's don't have spindles...

If you can remove the bolts from the back mount with the bushings, then no, you can replace the arm without removing the shock.
You can also just lower the shock and get the arm up over the top, then bolt it in.

 

Just to confirm, when you say lower the shock, you mean undo the bolts at the top of the shock in the engine bay, right?

I replaced the upper control arm and my camber is still off. The knuckle really doesn't look bent, but else can be causing the camber to off?

 

what about the LCA?
