okay...you didn't answer my question at all. How is a b16 on any same set boost pressure going to be safer than a nonvtec B18B or B20? Even if you lower the compression on a B16 "slightly" via thicker head gasket etc...you still won't be as low as a B18/B20 so you're just talking out your ass.

because you said a B16 is MORE RELIABLE than a B20 or B18B motor. I wasn't comparing a BUILT b16 to a B20 etc etc...but in general a B16 is NOT more reliable than a b18b or b20 notec motor.

i'm pretty sure i'm in the right thread. let's see...i got an '89 civic and a question about it. hmmmm, i think the "pre-92 civic" section might be a good place to post it.

I would love to move it for you but it's too polluted. I think you're better off cutting and pasting your original post to engine tech. As for turbo selection, the t04e is a good power making turbo, but I think for around town power, I'd get the t3/t04 with the .60 a/r. That should meet your goal and still be snappy.

um, i forgot to get the spec's on the t04e today from work, but isn't it almost the same trim specs as the t3/t4??
