Default Help buying a 94 civic, what to look for

Hey guys, new to the forum (obviously with 1 post) What brought me here was because I am buying a Honda for my GF. I know of Hondas lasting forever. I have been shopping around and came across something that is right in my area: 1994 honda civic EX with 122K 5 speed tranny. No timing belt, clutch, or water pump replacement, so those are the first 3 things I will be doing ASAP. Anything else I should keep an eye out for?? What to look for?? I am going to look at the car thursday. I will be running the VIN tommorow and if it is clean as what he claims it is, I will be driving it home. My GF now drives a 95 chrysler cirrus that is apiece of shit. I am buying this honda for her for the simple fact hondas are known for lasting. So again, any info on this car is appreciated. I dont know what it has for a motor but I think its the D16 motor. I kind of used this post as a newbie introduction but its all good. Look forward to chatting with you guys and sharing things. You guys will love my DSM sale list. I have have 450cc injectors and T25 turbos all over the place. Thanks

2200. passenger door and fender need to be painted. A little bump damaged them and he had put on used parts to fix them. Didnt bother spending the extra 300 to color match. Typical honda owner I guesss. No offense

I would look at the CV boots, if they are torn they will be covered in grease and will have thrown grease all over the suspension. Not a big deal but good for bargining. Check under the radiator cap for copper flakes from some sort of stop-leak. When you turn left and right listen for any additional grind/squeeling/scraping sounds as that could be an indictation the bearings are going out.

I would pay that much for it with the mismatched panels.
