Not everything is free.... You need a chip kit (roughly $25 shipped) Then you need someone to install that chip kit (did my own) Then you need someone to write you a map with either Crome Free or Uberdata. Then you need to burn that to the new chip that came with the chip kit. Simple!!11!!

Is you current snail water and oil cooled? check and make sure that your oil return line going to your oilpan is plumbed so it flows downhill, this can cause overheating problems if its not...

also what type of engine management are you using, if any? if you are running an FMU with check valves, this can be your problem as it can run your car too rich/lean...

I would suggest:
-turning down your boost
-making sure your intercooler, oil, and or water is staying cool
-getting engine management (crome is free!!!)

by tuning your engine to lambda (perfect air to fuel ratio throughout your power curve) with an engine managment system your engine will run cooler and make more power...

if you are running stock engine internals, i wouldn't suggest running more than 7-8 psi...

tune and or build your engine to accept more psi not more turbos... adding another turbo will just make your engine a bomb...

not all twin turbo setups are on seperate cylinder banks. Both the RX-7 and Supra run a sequential twin turbo setup.

yes crome is free, go to www.pgmfi.org it will blow your mind...

i converted my p06 ecu to a p28 vtec for $12 with parts from www.digikey.com

chipped and put a datalogging port on for like $15 with parts from digikey also...

pgmfi has a shitload of diy ecu stuff... nonvtec-to-vtec, auto-to-manual...

they even have schematics to build your own real time ecu rom emulator for like $20...

check it out

You're right that everything is not free, but you also forgot to include the cost of the chip burner. Chip burners cost about $100 new from Moates.net. They are high quality and easy to use.
And you also forgot to include the most expensive piece of the tuning "9 yards" which is the wideband A/F meter... With out it u can't tune... and it costs upwards of $250.
So, no it's not a free operation, but it is significantly less using Crome...

my chip burner was $36 on ebay. I Just wrote a basic map with uberdata which works great and just keep an eye on my A/F gauge (no wideband)

Tuning will put me in the mid to low 13s. Currently at 14.95 on 17" new street tires and cannot get traction for shit. Workin on some drag radials for my 15" rims, might go back to the stock SI's
