yes crome is free, go to www.pgmfi.org it will blow your mind...

i converted my p06 ecu to a p28 vtec for $12 with parts from www.digikey.com

chipped and put a datalogging port on for like $15 with parts from digikey also...

pgmfi has a shitload of diy ecu stuff... nonvtec-to-vtec, auto-to-manual...

they even have schematics to build your own real time ecu rom emulator for like $20...
