h: They don't shorten the stick they change the pivot point to reduce the throw.

Though I have seen some idiots cut and weld the sticks to make it "shorter" :chuckles:

I was talking to a friend today about making short shifters out of Ti. It would be pretty easy but our company doesn't allow use of equipment for "government work" aka personal use. It sucks to be surrounded by the technology to make alot of cool things and not be able to.:sad:

he did say he might know someone who could help though :hsugh:

i made my own cut it, welded it and threaded it i like it plus i have energy suspension polyurethene, and if it breaks i have another one w/me

SO you just made it shorter instead of making it having a shorter throw correct?

for god sakes people who don;t know what is the diff between oem shifter and short shifter, stop telling stories that it is shorter, cut, wellded or some other buls**t.

if you go through the trouble of replacing the shifter also replace the bushings.. not that much more cash and a HUGE difference IMO...
