block filling
hey lookin around at other web sites lk d-series.org and found this http://www.d-series.org/forums/showt...=block+posting it is reffered to as block filling puttin epoxy in the block w/ salt on bottom of it then flushing salt and drilling holes what you guys think about it i dunno i like it and i don't
i don't have money to put a block guard in the motor i'll be rebuilding but i do want to do something lk this or block posting what to do i don't trust these d series ppl even tho i'm runnin w/ a d16y8 and a turbo so want to hear from my people at hond acura.net especially das schmoo thanks for all the posts

yeah thanks i just like this idea i know from all out drag racing experience w/ my fathers 500cid hemi we've epoxyed the block but we were not driving it around lk a normal car i like this idea cuz it supports more then just the top of the motor lk a block guard and i dunno too much about the post it looks kinda weak but so far it looks the best option for me right now thanks keep posting hopefully the man i trust das schmoo will show up here

I've heard of people doing that with concrete too. :eh: Its a good idea in theory, but I sure as hell wouldn't try anything like that in my motor. Maybe if it was a beater project and I had extra paperweight d-series motors laying around. :dunno:
Never do block posting, it is the worst thing ever, I wouldn't do the epoxy thing either. Just go with the block guard, Ur suppose to weld them in, but most of them are a tight enough fit.
