So you don't need adjustable cam gears? I just saved my self a hundred bucks.

No, you don't need them...especially if you are running stock cams.

No, good tuning prevents detonation. I have CTR cams on my setup with stock cam gears and I have no detonation whatsoever. Detonation and backfiring are completely unrelated.

though, schmoo could actually benefit from using cam gears, most wont. stock cams on a stock non-vtec head usually like to be set at zero on both exhaust and intake. when vtec is involved, some tinkering can help. i put gsr cams in my b16 head and i have cam gears too. i got the gears an cams for 150 shipped.
as for that kit....ya, its been said. ssautocrap. the turbos are iffy, there wastegates are iffy, there manifolds are junk, etc.
i would just build my own kit. u can build a turbo kit for around 1500 bux and have a good solid kit.
tunertoys.com stealthmodeperformance.com cc-fab.net are all good places to start looking for parts. heres a quick basic list for you since im bored
manifold--make sure it is made of good, quality steel
turbo--since im assuming u have a SOHC motor, a t3 super 60 would be perfect
intercooler piping
fuel injectors--either high impendence or peak and hold, peak and hold like from a dsm youll need to wire in a resistor box
bov- anywhere from 15-200 bux, all preference and quality
intercooler
oil lines
fuel management
boost and oil pressure gauge is a good idea
downpipe
there might be some other lil stuff i forgot, but thats the main shit

Cause that's the definitive factor.

I ran 390 whp on a boosted B18C1 on stock GSR cams/gears for a WHILE. I only went with adjustable gears when I dropped in JDM ITR cams and did gain about 9 whp out of adjustment to the intake cam, but I was also making 457 whp then too. h: They are helpful, but not a requirement and it also has a lot to do with what cams and what all has been done.

A lean running boosted motor will eat itself alive if not tuned properly.

You run 2 oil lines: a feed from the OEM oil sending unit location on the back of the motor, and a return that gravity feeds from teh bottom of the turbo to the highest point you can drill into on your oil pan. Any kit will come with the fittings you need. Otherwise, you will have to have the lines made and get the correct fittings, which isn't all that hard.

oil lines are easy. drop oil pan and put a hole in it high enough to drain and like josh said, oil pressure sensor in back of block unless u run a sandwhich between your oil filter

so all i need to make the turbo kit run. maybe not the best. is the kit itself, injectors, fuel pump, and some kind of fuel management system. like the apex vtec controller with the fuel piggyback management system
