Ok this isnt a civic but very similar so I figured someone might have an idea. Im working on my Dad's volvo 850, replacing most everything that gets worn. Got the axle out of the tranny and the hub off the car but the axle wont comeout of the hub. I hammered and it started to mushroom out instead of moving. Any ideas guys?

 

liquid wrench, air hammer/chisel, the file the end of the axle to get rid of the mushroom... That's what I did.
