Wrong. The correct GSR harness will be OBD2 and thus connect properly to all the obd2 equipment.

WTF? Here's a tip: GSRs were OBD2 as well. They have a seperate engine harness. Look, you're wrong, stop scraping for silly reasons why he has to use obd1 stuff, because he doesn't. The only reason you have to swap to OBD1 dizzy, alternator, and injectors is if you are using the car's original OBD1 harness. Even then it's possible to swap OBD2 injector clips, and rewire for the distributor and alternator.

so the OBD2 harness will plug right into the obd1 ECU harness and you can then run the obd-1 ecu?

and by the way, why did it come with a p28..that isnt the ecu a stock b16a2 runs on.

Yes. The "extra" OBD2 bullshit is all on a fourth plug that connects to the rest of the car on the passenger side shock tower. On an OBD1 car, just leave that plug hanging and you're good to go.

You could run an obd2 computer but it's cheaper and easier to use obd1. The plugs on the ECU are different obd1/obd2 and you'd need to use an adapted to get an an obd2 comp. Just use an obd1 ecu, it'll never know the difference.

ok..... so i got 2 different things going on.......
so i've gather the p28 is acutaly obd1 like my car is so that will plug into my chasis harnes no problem.

and even tough the engine and the engine harness is obd2 i dont need a conversion kit because i can just leave what ever extra plug i have unplugged and the rest can go into the obd1 chasis harness?

i gues the thing i was confused about was the chasis harness. and the adapter harness's that i can buy..and if i needed one
