Default The beast...here she is...UPDATE MORE PICS!!

First off, let me say if this is in the wrong forumn im real sorry. I didnt know where to post it. Some forums have a media section so i just thought i would post this in the technical part since it is a motor swap.

Well here is what i started off with a d16y7 motor and tranny with 115k that i sold to a member on hondaswap.com for $200. Then I got a legit (with papers) b18b for $700, and a gsr trans for $995. The hardest part of the entire swap was actually getting a gsr trans. they sell like hotcakes and no one will hold one for you. I had to drive 3hrs to get this baby.
Build tally $700 b18b
$25 b18b dizzy
$995 gsr trans
$60 shift linkage
$130 Autozone axles
$20 p75 ecu
$130 timing belt and rear T mount (still need both torque mounts)

And im completeing the 99-00 front end as well, as well as i just got some gsr leathers and new carpet as well. Swap parts i still need is the half shaft...and few misc parts.
ALSO DONT MIND THE UGLY COLOR, UGLY GRAPHICS OR GEO STORM RIMS. Its getting repainted in spring and these are my "winter" rims.

I dont have a recent pic, but passenger axle is in, shift linkage is on i cut the AEM SRI and made a bracket and now it bolts up perfect to the b series , "customized" my throttle cable bracket, and hooked up every wire except a few that i need to go over. Suprisingly i didnt have to change a single plug from my civic harness??? Then again i know i missed 1 or 2 plugs.
Im waiting for a half shaft, and those mounts. then i need to change the trans fluid, engine oil, and re-bleed the clutch since it goes soft over night. Then ill fire it up hopefully this weekend

one word to describe your car: ricey, hopefully you change the color, buy some better rims and take off the decals, backlights and kit, and its all good, good choice of engine, good luck.

Isn't a GS-R tranny a shitty match for an LS motor?

No, Gsr is a great tranny some think its bad for boost because gears arent as long as the ls but i have it on my ls turbo and i love it. Great trans, good looking project man like everyone else has said clean up the rice.... but nice choice on motor.

the whole thing about long gears with boost is a big load of shit
shorter gearing always equals faster acceleration...always

so would you say that a b16 trans is better than a gsr because isnt the b16 trans even shorter geared? I remember a couple months ago there was a debate about transmissions and ls is to long b16 is to short but gsr is just right
