What would this motor handle for Boost?
just dreaming about motors and having one built for me at an astronomical price. i came across this set up stroker d16y8 with the option for Darton sleeves and low compression dished pistons. what do you guys think this could handle for boost?

I REALLY DO HAVE TO ASK WHY ????
Man thats 4700 bucks without a turbo, you could almost do a k swap for that
ok so i m guessing you want to keep it as stock as possible, this will not pass smog in most states, also your still missing lsd so you will spin 1 wheel ,
i understand making the d powerfull but the tranny can only take so much,
just use a stock d16 and turbo it with like 8 lbs of boost when it blows you can do a motor swap for another d16 for under 850
i just cannot see why you would want to spend 4500 bucks to rebuild an engine where at that price you could do alot more now if you were getting a good guy discount and got it all done for like 1500-2000 bucks and could get 200 hp and then turbo it i could see that
engine can probly handle mad boost tuned right but you woundnt get the power to the ground without lsd and super slicks
"just dreaming about motors and having one built for me at an astronomical price." yeah, thats me stating that i am dreaming... i honestly would never have this done unless i was shitting $100 bills. i was just bored. sorry for the inconvienience. ill learn to shut my yapper more often.

cool man. my true plan is to build a motor outside my car (built d-16 y8) im just going to rebuild and moderatly upgrade internals (rods, studs, etc..) and
build a turbo kit. my goal is 200-220 whp. either that or take my car off the road for a year and buy a beater while i rebuild the current motor. i just love the D-serier for whatever reason (mainly price and parts availability) so i thought it would be a good project than just a b18c motor swap that most people are doing.
