I can feel mine. It's not like afterburners, but it's there.

Yeah, you can hear it. Feeling it, while thats a different story. If adjusted and working properly, there should be no physical feel to it.

i was having the same problem with me not thinking vtec was kicking in and spoke to a acura tech (a buddy of mine) he said vtec isnt made to hit hard its all about the smooth crossover and watching your rpms start ripping... i hit about 5300 rpms and hear nothing but the car seems to just take off

i dont know what your saying about not being able to hear vtec.. i can hear it change over at the same rpms every time.. i heard a gsr drive by in vtec.. and i was in my friends ls and didnt hear any change resembling the sound my y8 makes..

EDIT: idk if your talking about a stock car but i can hear vtec in bolt-on modded cars..

Yeah, with bolt ons, namely header/intake it amplifies the crossover nicely.

you can hear the secondaries open, the valve lift and timing doesnt really change the sound of the engine all too much though.

well yeah, but its still a descernible point when vtec engages, BASED ON THE SOUND, not feel.

i'm betting money that the sound you're hearing is not vtec but the secondary intake runners opening up. they open up at a different RPM than vtec engages BTW.

enough of this, please. hearing vtec is a myth and thats all there is to it.

people get confused that hearing the secondaries means hearing the secondary cam profiles, it's not, the secondaries being reffered to are the intake runners.

Your right. Im sorry. The runners open mid 4kRPM's. VTEC is higher. Thanks for setting that straight.
