Default shifter problem

if you have looked through any previous posts, u'd see that I have had a problem with my shifter. first i explained the problem, i was told i needed a new shift bushing. next i posted asking how to do that. i found out, so i bought new energy suspension shift bushings and last weekend i installed them. the thing is, the shifter feels exactly the same, and i still have the same problem. when its in gear, any gear the shifter lever is really loose. it can move side to side like 2 - 3 inches. there are no loose bolts in the linkage, i checked that. and i just changed the bushings. so now what?

probably the shift fork inside the transmission. you'll need to pull the transmission and have it looked at.

that sounds kinda serious. is there mybe another bushing i would need. the bushings i got went at the trans end and then a stabilizer. there werent any for were the shift rod meets the other rod under the car. that area seemed kinda loose. could that be the problem. if it is, where would i get a bushing for that?

i noticed there were 3 little black rubber band looking things in there, but one was missing, there should have been four, but they were so small, i figured that couldn't be causing the problem. it could be part but not the whole thing.
