It is still recommended to get the ITR springs and retainers even if you're only upgrading to CTR's.

no point unless u are planning to rev over the redline, i had the skunk2 in my car with stock valve train and i had no isses whatsoever and thsoe cams are more agressive then CTR cams

Yea I know plenty of people running CTR's with stock valvetrain, GSSR ran Skunk2 Stage 1's in his. I don't want to waste the money if I don't need it.

It is just a suggestion of recommendation. You dont need to, but don't come back whining about a broken valvetrain and say we didn't warn you so. Skunk2 even recommends it, but not required. Even if you don't rev to redline, it is possible to damage your valvetrain.

The Skunk2 Stage 1 cams are slightly more agressive than the Toda Racing Spec A cams, and even Toda Racing recommends at least to upgrade to the Type R valvetrain

CTR cams would definately need the ITR or CTR valvetrain.

not from what I heard from my mechanic who works on imports for a living, he said if you get the ITR cams you need to upgrade it

And how could you NOT run to redline after installing new cams
