i have a 1992 honda civic cx hatchback 1.5 non vtec d15b8


it started running really rough and had a rough idle and wouldnt rev past 3k rpm so i gave it a tuneup new plugs dizzy and 8mm wires and now it runs great but it still idles pretty rough around 600 rpm and it shakes im not sure what it could be please help

 

also the plugs i took out were black!

 

Did anything happen to the car recently? Is the CEL on? Do your electronics work fine? Did you test your alternator and/or battery?

 

everything works great...its had the rough idle since i bought it last monday...my dad keeps telling me its the premium gas but i think its actually runs better with premium and seems to have more pickup


please help

also my hole car shakes at idle

 

Is the rough idle happening on a cold start, warm start or both? Does the engine sound like it is going to die at 600 rpms?

 

it happends at all times at stop signs start and random driving stops...its normally after i rev or drive the engine when i let off and disengage the clutch

 

sometimes it shakes and the idles drop as low as 400 rpm and other times its fine...but it normally idles worse and shakes worse after i disengage the clutch
