is it running rich also? I have the exact same car and I just replaced the oxygen sensor. that fixed my rough idle and fuel mixture issues. How many miles are in it?

There are lots of things that could be it and not exclusively to:

1. Defective IAC Valve.
2. Bad Gas.
3. Clogged Fuel Filter.
4. Clogged Fuel Injectors.
5. No Current to Spark Plugs.
6. Clogged Air filter.
7. Dirty throttle body.

There could be other things that it could be but it is hard to fully diagnose without taking a look at it. I remember that if the IAC valve is bad, the car will die when you take your foot off the gas.

I heard that the voltage stabilizer will make LED signal bulbs flash at the correct speed instead of the superfast flashing. But I have not tried it so I do not know the truth.

i checked out what a oxygen sensor costs and autozone wants like 89.99 for it

that really does not seem like it could cost that much any other solutions?

To me it sounds like a fuel related problem. Just the other day I floored it down the street where I work, almost redlined in 2nd gear. I stopped pretty fast and parked. The engine was nice enough to shut itself off for me. I'm pretty sure I flooded it. It wouldn't start up again until I waited a few minutes and it ran fine. That sounds a little like what you have with the engine idling hard after revving. I'd look into the fuel system, the things swissarmyca pointed out would be a good place to start.

It's so hard to tell what it is without someone being there. Even if it's not your O2 sensor get a new one anyway. If it's the original one its over 12 years old!
