Good Coilovers?

Default Good Coilovers?

Can anybody give me a respectable brand in coiilovers? I have heard that the cheaper ones handle poorly and I dont want to compesate handling for suspension. Please help thanks!

ground controls are decent.

in general coilovers dont handle that well, you trade usability and function for convenience of height.

some to stay away from: skunk, weapon r, some times i think tenzo is bad brand too.

Didn't even know that Tenzo made coilovers. Might want to stay away from VIS coilovers as well. Even at it's highest setting, your car has about a 2" drop already.

seems like ive seen that...

i generally like to stay away from companies that "do it all" -- i.e. not good at any one thing.

so wait, you guys are saying that if I just want a 2-2.5 inch drop, I shouldn't go with coilovers I should just get springs?

my planned setup was to go Koni yellows with GC's, but I only want to go for a 2 inch drop. what spring would give me good handling?

i got gsr skunk2s with koni yellows and the ride is stiff and nice. with gc, u can get custom spring rates and such and that is a good planned set up u got. i say go with it.

That's what I have and my buddy has them on his '01 GSR... it rides REALLY well and handles great!

gc use eibach springs.... get some gc coilovers with some koni yellows or kyb agx adjustable schocks.. that is where i am headed...
