ive had the skunk coilovers when they were known as skunkworks and group-a-autosports was their site. i thought they were good as far as handling and quality. but know i have a set of ground controls and i think the quality is much better. its also much easier to adjust the height on them. but if you dont have the money for the gc than i say go with skunk. thats my 2 cents.
I like my GCs. There nothing like adjusting coilovers with just a allen key, and some gloves. and they are extremely easy to install yourself, even do removing your old shocks might require a spring compressor. And if you run into an inspection problem like i did you can always raise it to stock hieght.
For about a month I road around so low that your could barely fit a boot under the sideskirt. With steelies there was no rubbing/squeaking and it was very stiff, and the low hieght made you feel like whatever speed you were doing it was fast. Now its up more cause I got 17s.
Also if you are an DIY experimental type, you could look into Red's Suspension setup for 399, which comes with shocks and coilovers, even though they are still the sleeve type coilover, like the GC's. Just a suggestion, but if you want tried and tru get the GC's
