it is recommended that you replace the master also if you replace the slave.

The clutch pedal is supposed to go to the floor. If it drops to the floor and wont come back up and the resevoir is full I'd say either there is air in the line, the bleeder screw is still open, there is a leak somewhere or the clutch release fork is not returning.
