Default Hows this setup?

Well, I'm planning on boosting in september. I picked that month because I'm going to be working close to 50 hours a week third shift, so I'll have some pretty nice income from working at an offset printing shop. And since turboing is kind of expensive I thought I'd start shopping around now. I'd just like to know what you guys thought of the setup I'm looking at so far.

Okidoke.

Walbro 255lph pump
AEM rail
AEM FPR
RC 440 injectors
60ar Garrett t304
One of those equal length ramhorn manifolds(whoever makes them)
Tial wastegate
Probably a remanufactured DSM intercooler
Greddy Type-S BOV
Custom downpipe and charge piping

Not trying to get huge gains like you, just fun driver, maybe 6-8 psi with some quality parts. Then in the winter, when my car is away and I'm driving my 4wd. I'll probably get some head work done depending on some quotes I get.

Type RS blow off valve sounds a lot better and is better for more high end amplications and will you be running a FMU? or a Piggyback ecu?

i've got a pretty snappy saab intercooler you might be interested in. Flow should be more than sufficient for a b16 @6-8 psi. Inlet and outlet on the same side, so that might make plumbing a little simpler (or not, I don't really know h: ) Lemme know if you wanna take a look

Uhm. I'm not sure. What should I do? I read somewhere like turbo16 that fmu's aren't as reliable on high psi. But I'm just going to boost 6-8.

just get u'r ECU chipped with an Uberdata tune & your injectors will handle the fuel just fine. Fuck the FMU!!!

:werd: Don't waste your time with those ghetto FMU and piggyback units, jump right to the very reliable stand alone ECU.

You can do that but it will cost $$$, FMU is the cheapest because it is cheap but for your case a Piggyback ECU will do the job. If you plan on running 10+ PSI go for the stand alone.

ok this man is a genius!

It will cost you about $18 bucks for the stuff to chip your ecu.

have someone burn you a basemap on the chip & u'r set to go tune.

either way a decent basemap will totaly be 100% more efficent than the damn FMU!

ohh & the FMU will probly cost u bout 75 bucks!
