what would u go with and why....

 

i think FI hoods are higher quality and better fitment than VIS. :dunno:

 

I think they both have their advantages. I would look for rolled edges and good feedback on fitment when shopping for one.

 

i got fi and it fitted like ass until i put on some hood locks and it was straight, i heard vis has rolled edges, fi doesn't have rolled edges. i don't know bout comparison in price, but my fi hood still looking good and holding on strong.

dont got 1 ... but i think i would go with fi one .. cuz the jumped , droped a rim , and ran one of the hood over n it didint crack .. dont know if it was true but looks cool

 

I have a VIS. It fits perfect. It has rolled edges, pre drilled for washers, doesn't need hood pins, has UV clearcoat. It's heavier than a FI hood but still lighter than stock. Pics here: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291834159

 

I wanted to debate those two brands also. I paid WAY more for the FI one because of their reputation. One of the Bimmer guys here has a FI one on his car, and at a show a CF specialist said that it was one of the best works he's ever seen. Well, I got a FI one and the fitment on my sedan is a little off, I had to add washers-- alot! And it still looks a little off. I am reluctant to drill holes for hood pins... btw, where do you guys mount your washer nozzles now? (again, I don't want to drill my CF)

 

my buddy has the VIS and its really nice and came w/ holes for the pissers

 

my friend has 2 VIS's for his Eclipse, one came with holes for pissers, one didnt.... he had perfect fitment on his car, another kid i know swears by VIS he has one on his GS-R
