I'm no expert on these motors, but all I can think of right now would maybe be a leaking VTEC solenoid?

The VTEC solenoid is on the left side of the back of the head. Even if it leaked while activated, it wouldn't drip oil on to anything hot enough to burn it.

Default ur block

maybe there is something wrong with where the oil squirters are, down in the block, and its getting up in through the cylinder bore. Non v-tec motors have no oil squirters down in the block. just an idea, but i'm no import mechanic.

Default one more thing

Go to the honda dealer and have the guy sitting on his ass show you the micro-phish on your motor. And ask a few ?'s about the oil squirters in the block.

sure it's not your clutch that stinks? Do a compression test and see what your at, and check your plugs to see what they look like.

It's obvious you're not a Honda tech because that can't possibly be the problem.

Yep, a lot of the race (dohc) engines that get built around here dont even use the squirters anymore. They are track cars only for the most part though.

Default wrong

all v-tec motors squirt oil under the pistons to transfer heat away from the conecting rod and main bearings. Its inside the motor block.

First, It's VTEC. Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control. There is no hyphen.

Secondly, there is no way the oil squirters can cause this problem. Trust me, no extra oil is going to seep past the rings to burn due to the squirters. Hell, I don't think Y8's even have oil squirters. I haven't noticed them in the blocks I've seen.
