I would usually say keep the SOHC VTEC and boost it, but since you will have to do the tranny swap anyways, you might as well go with either a B16A, B18B,or B18C.

How much are you looking to spend and how much power do you want to eventually have?

i want a High reving engine...but i dont feel like replacing everything i have on it already (headers, intake, etc.)

if i buy a turbo system now for the d16... cant i keep the intercooler and most of the piping (with a little bit of shaving/molding) but when i get the new engine buy everything else that needs to be new (exhaust manifold, wiring, more/different tubing)

Boost your current setup even tho it is an auto, and if you boost you will not be able to keep your current "mods" anyway...
It sounds like you are not quite sure what you want from the car and funds are limited.Figure those two things out and get back to us...
Keep it simple....

put u'r money in the bank & start to study.. aparently you don't know much about the potential of your car & any of the directions that it can go. This is not meant to slam u.. take it as advise. You'll be happy that you didn't blow your money! Figure out every little detail & all the lil extras that you will need.

it's the whole measure twice cut once thing..

best of luck to ya.
