Default [OPINION] New Engine or Upgrade?

I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX AUTOMATIC...

Should I:
1) Buy a B16 with manual Tranny
or
2) Buy TURBO and a manual tranny (keeping the d15)

Pros / Cons

Finial Decision?

Stock B16 is what 170hp at 7600. Is it a d15 1.5l? If so those are like 102 at 6500? So with boost you can get it up to a stock b16 if not higher. I'd say theres a lot more possibilities with a b16. I just got my b16, I had a d15.

I'vew never heard of a B16C1. But then again, I've only been studying/working on honda's for like 6 months.

B18C1 (or JDM B18C)
These come out of an Integra GSR.

Pros
Good Hp and TQ numbers (170, 121 ft/lbs respectively)
DOHC VTEC
Tons of potential
High revving

Cons
Expensive
Becoming moreso as people keep scooping them up
Slighty longer tranny than the ITR and B16

If cost is an issue, go B16.

If not, B18C is the way to go.

I'd say so, you might even save a few $$ Then re-coup some money and turbo it.
