Edit: Where's the torque?
It was a 10 second viper he raced.

I'd have to say that 90% of Viper owners leave them completely stock. Their value evaporates when they're modified. Most Viper owners don't buy those cars to race them anyway. It would be pointless to harm their investment. Every time a Viper shows up at a track near me, there's at least a half-dozen street-legal 4-cyl imports that are faster. I have some miserable videos of one racing this past weekend.

I have nothing but respect for the guys that mod Vipers, though. I saw a 1300hp twin-turbo setup in one once. It might have been more, but that was as high as the dyno could measure. Impressive!

I thought I should also add, that car is his daily driver. He's only in his mid 20's so he doesn't have a ton of cash, but he makes quite a bit tuning.

also, WCS this isn't the guy who beat the viper, but just on the same website

Ya, I was thinking about the actual cheesefrog guy. Didn't realize this was a different car, but I was waiting to see a 6th gen. That manifold is pretty sick. I'm going to have to look into that.
