Default Oil Seals

I had the crank seal replaced on the timing belt side of the engine a few months ago. I still see an oil drip on the oil pan right below the crankshaft and right next to the crank pulley. Where could this be coming from? Is there a seals "kit" I can get that will allow me to replace the seal(s) causing the most likely oil leak?

When I take apart the timing belt side of the engine, I want to be able to replace most or all seals on that side. I also plan on replacing the oil pan gasket too.

When I replace the clutch, I plan on replacing the crank seal on that side of the engine.

did you every have the cam seal replaced?

That usually leaks before the crank

could also be the crankseal that was not installed properly and /or the crankshaft was scratched when the seal was installed.

After I get the right tools for removing the crank shaft pulley bolt, I'll begin checking on the timing belt side of the engine first. Yeah, probably my mechanic didn't install it properly. That guy never seems to put things back properly although he seems honest. A Midas guy who checked the exhaust mentioned the seal for the oil pump. Anyway, I figured that since I had the timing belt cover removed, I might as well replace as many seals as I can do so I won't have to take it all apart again. That's why a kit would be nice.

best thing for the crank shaft pulley bolt removal is to take it to a shop or garage and have them use a impact gun to take it off and put it back on tight enough to get the car home. Hopefully the mechanic did not scratch up the crankshaft on you. Also he should of used hondabond or ultra grey sealant around the edges of the outside of the seal to help keep it in place. It may be the oil pump seal too like you said, I don't know how easy that is to get to. Good luck to you.

I'm hoping to be able to remove the bolt myself with no help. I'll use a breaker bar and use something to keep the engine from turning.

good luck with removing the bolt with just a breaker bar if it has never been removed before. You might have to use a torch propane style or heat it up to get it loose. I have the same problem on mine and that bolt is on there tight. I can't even loosen it with my impact gun. On mine, it is the plastic cover and seal for the crank behind the pulley. It shouldn't be very expensive to replace. Check majestic honda's website. Pretty good prices. If you get it loose, then all good
