Default removing hub

im trying to install my new omnipower suspension, and ive alrdy run into a problem. ive got a 2000 civic ex, i got the lug nuts off, the hub cap is off. i cant get the hub off. theres a big bolt in the middle, do i need to remove that? there is a little notch and it looks as if honda has made a dent into that notch making it impossible to turn that bolt....

you have to get a thich flat head screw driver and get the notches out of that bolt. it can e done it just might take a bit of muscles. than you have to get the bolt off. to do so (hopefully you havent removed any brake lines) you have some ne step on the break pedal ,so the wheel wont turn , than you get a socket on it or an impact wrench (if you have air tools available) and you spin off the nut the hub should come right off. if not than tell your buddy who is holding the break pedal to let off and take off the EBrake. if it still wont come use a little bit of force it will come off you may have to back up your break pads a bit if the rotor is woren too much on the inside. but good luck.

Here. There's a DIY on this. You're trying to remove the axle from the hub. It doesn't sound to me like you're using air tools, if so, this will be one of the hardest jobs you'll ever do, but it can be done... it's just going to take you a long freakin' time and you're probably at some point... going to bleed.

Read this and then see if you need to put it back together and drive it to somewhere where you can use air tools. Suspension work can be a major bitch if you don't have them.: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...d.php?t=173647

Just looked at your pic... If you're just trying to take the wheel off, you've done what you need to do. Just kick the wheel/tire off the hub. Then you can get to the rest of it. But if you're using hand tools, and you're going to remove the hub (not the wheel) from the car, you need to put the lug nuts back on and put the car on the ground before breaking that 32mm axle nut loose with hand tools... then take the wheel off. If you're using hand tools, you probably won't get that nut loose if it's in the air.
