Yea, I would take it also, that is if somone told me to choose, and both motors were free.... But from the sounds of the budget, it sounds like the D would be a better choice for you.

If you plan to do more the to the B18C down the road like turbo, I'd do it. But if you are planning on eilther building a D16Z6 and turboing it or a getting a B18C and keeping it stock, I'd do the D16.
