Default B18c or D16Z6

i cant decide weather to go with a stock b18c or to go with the d16z6 overbored and bulit. if i do the d16 i will eventually turbo. wahts your opinion?

i would go with the b18c, i wouldnt trust anyone elses work unless i knew them and was with them or helped them out with the build.

i would do the build myslef.
i kinda think ill make more power for the same or less money w/ the d16

wait, so.....its not a built up d16? if so then just go with the b18c, more potential IMO. but there are guys on here that have turbo d's and they're going to say a turbo D is good, but there isnt as much potential without blowing a lot more money than you would with a B.

I think the d16 would be a fun build. Get a chance to use the ol' imagination, think up something good...

Plus, there just aren't as many quick sohc's out there.. Bragging rights...

no it is a built d i was gonna bore ti to 82 or 84 mm and completely build up from there.
yea there arnt many SOHC's wich is cool too

id just go with a B. more HP and TQ than the D to start off with, and you can make more horsepower a lot easier than with a D.

I did a z6 swap and im happy im now saving to rebuild the whole engine and slap a nice turbo on there....like stated...i wanna show a D series can pull the rug right from under a b series

well if you try it with a comparably moded B you wouldnt get those results you stated if the drivers are almost equal.

true...but how many people can say they got a 13 second or 12 second D series
