Default n/a or turbo

I was wondering what the majority of people in here are for. Forced induction or naturally aspirated. Which do you guys prefer. Which is more reliable? I am currently looking for a motor swap. the summer and spring is comin soon and im still in limbo. I have a ek 00 hatchie and i thought i wanted to go turbo but now im thinking that might not be the best bet. Money is def an issue so i think i want something fast but once its in i don't want to have to touch it for a few. I was thinking along the lines of b16a turbo or b18b turbo ;\. But now im thinking GSR and be done with it for a few. GSR will come out cheaper in the long run i think as well. gimme ur thoughts on na or fi!!

Well swaps will give you more than you have now, and bigger HP potential . On the other hand, throwin a turbo on the D(I am assumin that is what you have in there) will give you more than just a swap.

he has the D16Y7 and that motor isnt worth turboing. id say go with a b18b and boost the hell out of it. that motor alone gives you an extra 40hp and 40lbs of torque. so that alone would keep you occupied till you turbo it. thats just the route i would go. if you go with a vtec engine i would go with the GSR(b18c) and turbo that down the road, but the b18b is better for turbo in stock form better than any of the other motors/

If your looking for reliable no worries horsepower id say your best bet is a swap like the b18c, turboing is great because you can easily turbo your car for well under the cost of the gsr swap, but it does require alot more tuning and carries a higher risk for damage.

b20's guts are weak, there rods are shitty and im pretty sure the pistons blow ass, not to mention the CR is very low. put a vtec head on ur motor or swap in a d16y8 or z6 and boost that. parts are cheaper for the motors and u can easily get into the mid to low 13's with proper tuning and now internal upgrades, with a turbo of course
