civic racers here fill the unibody rails with polyu to stop chasis flex.

Hummm... thats an interesting bit of info.

do u happen to know how much weight that would be adding?

:edit: then again, if they are worried about frame flex, they probly arn't worried about a couple lbs... haha

i put them in my front right motor mount and it reduced the amount of engine movement by a little, now i gotta put in my new rear mount with the ES inserts

you are not going to get much chassis flex from the motor. The motor rotates front to back not side to side...the reason those big beefy v8s twist the chassis is because they twist side to side thus creating a need for re-inforcement.

yeah true, but If you have rock hard springs and your car is pulling nearly a full G at the turns, then I think something somewhere is going to flex...

I just put mine in a few weeks ago. They're really nice on the move... hammering on the gas at low speeds, etc. I haven't done any hard launches yet, but I'm sure they'll help in that department too. Just be prepared for some wicked vibration at idle

Yes, this is an old thread that has been brought back a couple times now.. i've since then filled my mounts with poly-urathane instead of using the inserts.. they are definatly solid & the car vibrates like mad! haha

i'm very happy with it
