any way to clear up headlights?
is there any way to fix the "haze" on the headlight covers? i think its on the outside, cuz when i wash it, it clears up, but when it dries, it gets the haze again. ive heard something about wet sanding them, but i dont know the details. anyone know what to do?
so do i just rub acetone on them and thats it or what? i dont want to mess with clearcoat, and all that stuff. really dont want to wet sand but if thats what it takes, i can do it. if it will work just rubbing acetone on, how often will i need to do it?
Wait, what the hell? Headlight covers...? Huu? What year are we talkin here? Are the headlights glass or plastic? Wha? I am lost? I am replacing my headlights in my 94 Ex cuz they have sand pits in them, is there a cure for that?
I know all about acetone, and donot use fingernail polish remover, because it has other additives in it, like minerals, and crap for your nails, just use pure acetone, its 4.00 at the hardware store....

*sigh*
Its a lot safer to use a plastic polish (Blue Magic, like I said)...since they dont eat paint (like acetone) and its not as easy to ruin the lens (as with sand paper). They make it for a reason.
But go ahead, dont listen to me...not like I havent done it or anything

Whatever you decide to do, use a wax afterward (preferably one that is strong against uv). You do it as often as needed.
