*sigh*
Its a lot safer to use a plastic polish (Blue Magic, like I said)...since they dont eat paint (like acetone) and its not as easy to ruin the lens (as with sand paper). They make it for a reason.
But go ahead, dont listen to me...not like I havent done it or anything h:

Whatever you decide to do, use a wax afterward (preferably one that is strong against uv). You do it as often as needed.
