I ran into the exact problem. If the MAF (electronic mass airflow sensor does not fit into one of the holes, the hole is probably welded poorly, not allowing it to fit in it all the way. Take the intake to a shop and have them sand inside the hole, and you might have to cut the hosing to allow the sensor to stretch to reach the hole...as far as the bracket, put it where the stock airbox bolts where and use zipties around the intake and throught the holes, do this to two of the holes on the bracket, and the intake will be a little loose up and down, not too much, but you don't want it stiff. Hope this helps, ask if I'm being vague and you need more info.

EDIT: Haha, that's my exact intake, the 90* bracket you won't need...also, the MAF sensor didnt plug in, so I think there is poor welding on these specific intakes, have a shop sand the inside of the hole, and blow the metal particles out.

It's not a MAF, Honda's use MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensors instead. The sensor in the tube is an IAT, Intake Air Temperature.

No man, re read my post...If you leave it hanging it can cause your car to run rich, and f--k up your engine.

I can try to write in more detail tommorow, but I have a meeting at 6:00 so I need to be getting some sleep.

You're kidding me... the MSP still uses a MAF? The RX-7 switched from AFM's to MAP's in '93, I'm suprized the MSP would still use a MAF.

(Note to to Honda guys that don't understand: AFM = Air Flow Meter, MAF = Mass Air Flow sensor. Yes, there is a difference. )
