I needed the summit kit because I don't want the battery exposed to crap bouncing around in the back... I wouldn't mind making my own, but I do need the box and the anchoring equipment, so I figured what the heck, and I went with the the complete kit. The cables and connections only account for a small portion of the price of the kit, which is pretty reasonably priced to begin with.

HOLY CRAP!!! Its huge! The box is litterally more than three times the size of my battery. Time to return it.

I guess I'll have to find something else to contain it... maybe a rubbermaid box or something? Damn, I've never even seen a battery big enough to need that box before. Good thing Summit has a good return policy. :happysad:

Umm. Yeah, the Box is big, I bought one for my F100 (dual battery's) I said the hell with it and built a wood box,and later upgraded and molded a fiberglass box using a larger battery... Just an idea.. Fiberglass and resin is mass cheap..
