I can hear the VTEC engage in my friend's y8, though the power difference isn't noticeable.

see if there is a vafc for this car... you can control to the vtec engage to kick in in lower rpm so you can kick in the power faster.. just a thought..

V-AFC's are universal to all VTEC engines...
