Default Why?

Ok here's the problem i have a 97 EK(Salvage Title). I swaped a GS-R into it the car drove fine and everything a week and a half later the transmission started to make a RATTLE NOISE and then the next day gave out on me known of the gears would go in and when you would push the car it would jump like it's in gear. Fine i changed it and put a Type R tranny in and now 2weeks pass and the same rattle noise happens and last nite on my way home the tranny died on me the same way the GS-R one did. Does anybody kno y does this happen?? Some people say it the chasey(Bad luck since it's been hit) or it's me but i don't beat on my car. Plz i need advice?

ehh.. doubt this will help due to the weirdness of this situation but check anyways.. My buddy a few months ago finished his swap & kept havin tranny problems due to the fact that he wasn't getting the correct amount of pressure in the hydrolic line. Don't ask how in the world this happened but thats what he said his conclusion was.. i'll have to ask him.. because he said that he fixed something dealing with the hydrolic line & hasn't blown through another tranny yet..

my best guess would be bad luck! sry

hydrolic line? on a maunal trans????

are you putting tranny fluid in it? (kidding) you are right?

have you taken the car to be aligned? the place I go to gave me a chassis tweak reading as well. Do some measuring based on the Helm manual. If the mounts are twisted it might be causing this.

I had a similar sounding problem with an Eclipse. Turned out to be the torque converter was not seated properly.
Glad that car is gone...

1. Check your clutch and Hydraulic lines.
2. Pull the tranny and replace the throwout bearing, and pilot bearing.
3. Take it to an alignment shop and have them measure everything and get a print out of whats wrong. And then you are on your own...
