Default Removing the A/C

I'm trying to figure out what's all connected to the A/C system so I can remove it. I don't know what is safe to remove or needs to be kept. Could someone list the things I should look to remove... Compressor? Evaporator? ....

dont forget to get the system purged at a shop. you can leave the unit under the dash...just plug up the lines that are left incase you want to reinstall the a/c. but pretty much follow the lines from the compressor, condensor. not that hard to take out

Do I need to replace the belt after I take the A/C Compressor off or does there not need to be a belt anymore?

can I ask what the point of this is? If you dont turn the A/C on, the compressor isnt using any power from the motor. And overall, the A/C components probably weigh a whole 10 pounds.

So all you have to do is leave the A/C off and skip lunch for a couple days... you'll be all set, and you wont have to do a bunch of pointless work.

BTW, most cars ive seen use the same belt to drive the alternator and A/C compressor... sometimes the power steering too. So if you do go through all that work, you'll need an alternator belt from an HX.

AC weighs a lot more than that when including the compressor, condensor, fan, and under-dash components. Someone weighed it once, do a search. h:

:edit: and what's this about the belts? If you remove the AC you just have to remove the belt driving the AC compressor and that's it. There's no need to do anything to the other belts.
