So all you have to do is leave the A/C off and skip lunch for a couple days... you'll be all set, and you wont have to do a bunch of pointless work.
BTW, most cars ive seen use the same belt to drive the alternator and A/C compressor... sometimes the power steering too. So if you do go through all that work, you'll need an alternator belt from an HX.
AC weighs a lot more than that when including the compressor, condensor, fan, and under-dash components. Someone weighed it once, do a search.

:edit: and what's this about the belts? If you remove the AC you just have to remove the belt driving the AC compressor and that's it. There's no need to do anything to the other belts. :thinking:
