Default Final Decision? Help

Well..after a crap load of research, and help from alot of kind ppl on this site....
...
...

im still deciding on what to get!
for those of u guys that have done the swaps...help me out please.
h22..b16..b18c
what swap will cost the least to do just motor(no turbo or anythign)?
H22 is cheapest to buy...hardest to install..and after mounts and mods
will cost about the same as b16 or b18
In the long run, what swap will be the cleanest/easiest to work with regarding turbo add ons and fuel management..etc?

I know the b16/b18 will go in alot easier than the h22, but is the extra power of the h22 worth it? Im not worried about handleing, b/c i know the h22 is heavier and will worsten handleing.

and last of all..i know many places that sell the whole swap kits with motor tranny everything..but where would u guys suggest purchasing the motor from?

thanks for all the help guys...i cant wait till my swap is under way! which ever route i decide to take!

I dont really understand what you want, are u planning to turbocharge or not?
if you want turbo, IMO, b18b (non-vtec) could be the best choice (inexpensive engine that holds a lot of boost and will bolt right up).
If you want to go all motor, you could probably build a b16 or b18 VTEC for the same money you gonna spend installing an h22,... without the hassles.

Check Hmotors.com (I've heard good things about them)

b16 for n/a... b16b non vtec probably for turbo...

h22 never.. except if you want a big trouble prone swap (although the advantages rock.)

why the b18c for sure?

It depends really, a B16 isnt a good choice if your planning on going F/I.. they are relatively high compression, and good for N/A.. really good for N/A...

If you like high revs... and N/A... I would go B16B or B16A2...

However if your going to be boosting.. I would highly suggest foregoing VTEC and going with a B18B... they love boost.

well really if you say it like that..

Most of the B's are fast...

B18C's handle boost well, the C5's suck at it though, another N/A motor.

It all really depends on how much you are boosting it. A 8 psi boost on a B18C1 isn't going to damage anything. Just keep it there and there won't be any problems.
