thanks for all the help guys!

yeah if you run low psi you wont have issues..

but boost is addicting.. be careful not to overboost, from need of more power.

The B18C is a great all-around engine if boost is taken in moderation, that is....

You can probably handle about 12psi on stock internals... I wouldn't suggest it though.

anywhere from 7 to 10 would probably be good for everyday. Goodluck

A B16A is the cheapest. It's way too low displacement for me to like in the EG body though.

A B18A/B is in the same price range as the B16A, but offers more torque and less horsepower. They tend to run similar 1/4 mile times though. If you don't mind a lopey idle, they can be built ($$$) to compete with more expensive B18C's.

A B18C is great, but very expensive to start. If you can afford one and want to stay in the B-series, go for it. It's a very flexable engine.

An H22A is wonderful for a drag car, and that's what I like. It sounds like you're a drag guy too, so you might want to give it more thought. It is the most expensive swap of the group though, after you factor in all the aftermarket mount parts you'll need.

In short, all are good. You just have to decide how much you want to spend, how fast you want to go, and where you stand between an autocrosser and a dragger.

If it were me I would go the b18c1 and boost below 10psi.
