yep I will, as soon as I get my camera, its on its way here now
Coming from families shop.
Umm,,, I dont have the ignition control box is that ok that I just replaced the stock internal coil without upgrading everything else? I plan on upgrading soon, but not enuff cash yet.
I put everything in last night, and I used some liquid electrical tape to cover all of my connections (wire splices) I made I also used it to cover up the screw head inside the cap so no worries about it arcing, I ran my car for 30 min, I cant drive it yet, I havent mounted the coil or secured the wires. I will post pictures (if you can post them for me that would be great, can I just send them to your email?)and ill also post a detailed how to on monday.
I dont know what planet you are from, but thoes caps are to expencive to replace when they carbon up, and wear out.(about once a year on a honda).. A friend had one, and after the one went bad he started to make his own, its the same concept if you buy a post adapter and put it where the post would be on an external coil.
One more thing, how much can I open the gap on my plugs? Right now I have it set at .044

as far as gapping .044 is optimal, leave it as it is. when you start messing with the gap and dont know what you are doing you can do some serious damage.
So your saying I can buy one for 15$, that is how much I pay for a cap from Honda, also does that cap have brass contacts or aluminum?
Oh and one thing I forgot to say about the project, when I took the + and - wires off the coil and sending unit, I striped one of them and it was completely green inside, totaly coroded, so I replaced them with new.

yes, you can use a honda one,you just need to drill it.
supposedly the MSD caps are less prone to carbon trailing, I havent seen any evidence that they are less prone, but I havent had any issues with mine, either.

the cap was 30 bucks... even if it did have to be replaced in a yearly basis, I would.. its not too bad.
But it doesnt need to be replaced, if his cap was trailing that badly after just one year, then something was wrong.
Also, I add that when you buy the msd coil (or ignition box, im not sure which) they have a conversion so that you can add the post for the coil onto the stock cap, its a little thing you needto drill and put the post in the middle, I just opted to get the msd cap.
