A friend had one, and after the one went bad he started to make his own, its the same concept if you buy a post adapter and put it where the post would be on an external coil.
the cap was 30 bucks... even if it did have to be replaced in a yearly basis, I would.. its not too bad.
But it doesnt need to be replaced, if his cap was trailing that badly after just one year, then something was wrong.
Also, I add that when you buy the msd coil (or ignition box, im not sure which) they have a conversion so that you can add the post for the coil onto the stock cap, its a little thing you needto drill and put the post in the middle, I just opted to get the msd cap.
