Default gettin dyno'd today

well im gettin my car dyno'd today for the first time. stock ls motor, garrett t3/t4 turbo, vortech fmu ( :happysad: ) running around 7-8psi.

what steps should i take before, during and after the dyno. this is my first time, so im going in blind. thanks

are you getting dyno tuned? or are you just getting some runs on the dyno? they are 2 totally different things.

There's really not any steps to take... you just let the guy push the pedal for you and you see how much power you make. If you are tuning and you're doing it yourself then you might want to have some tools handy and be ready with a timing gun to add/remove timing manually between runs. You may also want to adjust fuel pressure if you have that capability. It all really depends on what you are doing there.

I know this may be too late. But, check your fluids. Maybe do an oil change. Just do a general health check of your car, make sure your charge pipes are on solid. Bring spare items, if you need to swap them out, just to be safe.

Now for the real advice:
Make sure your car isnt' too too low, you can scrape or pull off stuff getting on/off the dyno.

Make sure you have tow hooks, so the dyno operator can strap you down. They can use the LCAs, but tow hooks are preferable, if you have them. Run whatever octane you run on the street. Higher octane fuel will affect your tune.

Just some things I've learned.

with any luck my del sol will be getting finished and tuned this week. im only running around 5psi.. thinkin about getting a harder spring for my WG.

h: im just gonna run the spring until i can afford to buy hondata and a turbosmart Eboost and get rid of my e manage... but for right now i need to get the damn thing on the road. im tired of driving my slow ass 'yota truck
