Default any good write-ups on clutch replacement?

Hi, I am looking for any good write-ups on clutch replacement on a 96 civic. Any pointers is greatly appreciated. Is this something for someone with good handtool skills to work as a diy project, or am I better off to have the pros do it?

Thanks....

If you've never replaced a Honda axle before, it can be a bit frustrating. Personally, I wouldn't enjoy it at all with just hand tools. I could do it, but there'd be a whole lot more time, straining and cursing than there would be with air tools.

Buy a haynes manual. You get torque specs with those.

Yes, the spindle nut is a bear to take off unless you have an air tool. I used my friends to take the 32mm spindle nut off in 5 sec! I hate to think how long (if at all) it would have taken by hand.

Thanks for the link. Really appreciate the help here. I'll follow this when my clutch is ready to be replaced....I have replaced the axles before but never the clutch, so hopefully I could get this done in one day....

Thanks to all....for advice on this clutch issue and the axle replacement issue some 6 months ago ( I had problems getting the balljoint off the LCA) and I took one of your advices and used a sledge hammer and pounded the sides of the LCA and got it out.

I had the Haynes manual but you just can't rely on it alone. Nothing beats the valuable experience of what you all had attained and the willingness to share that in the public.

Thanks again.
