Default w00t for successful turbo install!!

Finally got my turbo kit on today. Setup is as follows:

Greddy 15g manifold/turbo/downpipe
2g DSM SMIC
1g DSM 450cc injectors
1g DSM BOV

Tuned by Uberdata (Basemap, blows rich black smoke... yummy!)

Stock wastegate still set at 5 psi. Wastegate spring sucks and gets lots of creep, so full boost doesn't come on until 4.5-5k in 2nd. Also, the 15g kit isn't designed for an intercooler, so I lose a psi or 2 in it. The boost guage reads ~3 psi tops. Time for an MBC to fix all these issues. I'd like to pull it up to ~8 psi.

It's unbelievable what 3 psi will do for a Civic in 3rd and 4th! What were once crappy slow gears pull like 1st and 2nd without boost. Can't wait to crank it up next week...

Boost creep has nothing to do with lag, like you're implying. Creep is when the wastegate can't dump pressure fast enough and you end up boosting more then you want to. A manual boost controller would only make boost creep issues worse.

I guess what I am saying is that the wastegate opens gradually even at low pressure, so it takes longer to spool. That's pretty much a known issue that a boost controller helps a lot with...

One thing that bothers me and I don't know why everyone does this is seen in this pic:

You really need to have the valve cover recirculating to the preTurbo intake pipe rather than just venting. Doing it with just a filter screws up the vacuum system... FYI.
