I have a stock civic right now, but will be putting in a gready kit at 10psi, which I shouldn't need a new fuel pump (everything I read says 10 psi would be ok for that pump)...what do you think?

Na, you won't need a pump.

Talk to SleeperCivicEX. He has a Greddy 15G kit on his Y8 at 11psi without anything done to his internals. He pushes 220 whp.

Has anyone done this before? I wouldn't want to comprimise the fuel pump amperage or current...Anyone know of a better place to put a kill switch (without removing the rear seats?) thanks b16 for the clarification...

my buddy has a switch under his driver seat that is splcied into the ignition wire...it is really well hidden, since most people put kills under the dash and such....just a thought

What is that hooked up too, (obviously the ignition right?) does that go to the starter? Im new at the kill switch thing, sorry.....where can I find the ignition wire, that sounds like it would be better to splice into...rather than the fuel pump...

You could get a little voltmeter from RadioShack and find the wire by checking continuity on the ignition wiring from the actuator wire on the starter. :goodjob:

That would be a perfect kill switch as it just has to send a minimal amount of current through the wire to actuate the starter. If the starter doesn't ever get the signal, it won't try to start.

I was thinking about this on the way home from work... you could also run a switch between the wire that checks to see if your clutch is depressed. You know how you have to push your clutch in so you can start your car?

Well, you could cut that wire and run it through a hidden switch. If the switch wasn't "on" or completing the circuit then even if you were pressing the clutch, the electrical system wouldn't know it. h:

Just a thought.
