I think you want a newer B20.

I assume this was directed at me.
Obviously I don't.

Obviously, you're shooting your mouth off. You'd be amazed what those old lude Si's could lay down. Shit, they were tanks, and still laid down almost flat 15's with an intake....
That's better than any stock civic in the US... Ignorance makes me hurt people....

Anyway, the swap would not be worth it. Mounting would be a pain, and there would be a lot of vaccum line stuff to mess with. The rear subframe on the old ludes comes up a lot higher, and it also has a front motor mount. You can't use any other B series parts on it. It's a bastard child engine, like the dohc zc, only worse.

A true front mount, or an EW/EV style "front" (left side, but forward of the timing belt) mount? Just curious.

Still, compaired to any US domestic V8... Hondas don't have any torque worth mentioning. Of course, considering the body weight, it is pretty decent, esp. for a "B" series.

...Which is why I qualified the original statement with "(for a Honda)".

Wow, almost flat 15's! That's fast! Oh wait, that's also bullshit because I owned an 88' SI, and it was no where near a 15 second car. Sounds to me like your the one talking out of your ass. I loved that car but by no means was it fast. Forget the fact that aftermarket support is very limited engine wise. Nothing against the 88-91 ludes but the B20A5 is not that great of an engine. I had quite a few problems with oil consumption after about 100k.

Everybody calm down, I'm sticking with the stock replacement anyway. Thanks for help!
